I had the pleasure of interviewing Frederic Laloux the author of a new book entitled ” Reinventing Organizations: A Guide to Creating Organizations Inspired by the Next Stage of Human Consciousness”.

I must admit Frederic’s book is a phenomenal look into the extremely profound changes into consciousness, culture and social systems that we are seeing emerge in increasing numbers at this point in human history. Frederic tests all the current organizational models and explores with the reader organizations that are bending the curve and exploring new ways of being.

As Frederic states ” Many people sense that the current way we run organizations has stretched to its limits. We are increasingly disillusioned by organizational life.” We are at the lowest levels of employee engagement in US history, and the trends don’t seem to be shifting. So what is next?

Frederic utilizes a color code system to help identify the characteristics of organizations. He states that the organization will evolve into will be what he refers to as “evolutionary teal” organizations.

These organizations are characterized by 1) Living entity with its own evolutionary purpose 2) Strategy emerges organically from the collective intelligence of self-managing employees 3) The concept of competition is irrelevant 4) Growth is significant only inasmuch as they help achieve the purpose. 5) Profit is a lagging indicator: will come naturally when doing the right thing.

Just these few characteristics of the evolutionary teal organization are so foreign to the way we are currently doing business in many of our organizations today. I am so encouraged by the practices and organizational dynamics of the twelve businesses that Frederic studied and cited in the book.  He truly show how business an evolve, and become more conscious, spiritual and human.

If you are in middle or upper management of an organization, then “Reinventing Organizations” is a must read. If you want to learn more please click here to be directed to the book website where you can download the book, or click here to be directed to the books Facebook page.

Enjoy this great interview with author Frederic Laloux.

There is most likely not a person on the planet that has not run into more that one obstacle during their lifetime. The bigger question that we need to ask ourselves, is just how do we perceived the obstacles that we have encountered. Do we look upon them as negative or are we able to reframe our reference to them as learning lessons?

In my recent interview with Ryan Holiday about his new book entitled ” The Obstacle Is The Way” we discuss his journey he takes his readers through history telling stories about some of the greatest people in history and the immense obstacles many of them encountered, but more importantly the personal power the all obtained by shifting their perspective about the obstacles they encountered and seeing them as learning lessons.

In story after story Ryan shows that when failure comes— Ask what went wrong? What can be improved? What am I missing. He states that entrepreneurs are: 1) Never wedded to a position 2) Never afraid to lose a little of their investment 3) Never bitter or embarrassed 4) Never out of the game long.

If you are currently facing a life challenge around growing your business, money or personal affairs then I highly recommend reading Ryan’s new book. It is inspirational and will provide you with a completely new perspective and reframe of your perceived obstacles.

I frequently come across wonderful software that makes life so much easier. I recently stumbled across Pipedrive a CRM (customer relations management) system that is really easy to use and quite comprehensive.

I reached out to the company, and was referred to Mohammad Ocean the Growth Development Officer. In my interview with Mohammad we discuss the benefits of Pipedrive, and its amazing user interface. If you are working in an organization now and are using some form of customer relationship management software, then I recommend seriously considering taking a test drive on the Pipedrive Cloud based platform.

I found Pipedrive to have all the features of the larger brand name systems, but is so much easier to utilize and maneuver around. I imported my 7,000 person database in hours, and every field was mapped perfectly.

If you want to test is out for a couple of months just click here to sign up for a two month free trial.

If you want to watch an overview video just click on the video below to get an idea of the power of Pipedrive.  I hope you find this software as beneficial as I have in keeping me focused and organized.

This is my second interview with author Pam Slim. She has written in a wonderful book which guides the reader to rediscover themselves, life and career. The reality is that they are all very interconnected and so important to leading a meaningful and fulfilling life.

In Pam’s new book entitled ” Body of Work, Finding the Thread that Ties Your Story Together” she explores our creativity, or contribution, affect and impact we have in the world and our personal legacy. Her message to readers is so important, for this books help one to define their “authentic self”, and to live a life they were given.

She states that focusing on a body of work will give us more freedom and clarity to choose different work options throughout the course of our lives, that we will be able to connect our diverse accomplishments to sell or story while continually reinventing and relaunching our personal brand.

Pam inspires through a well written book and provides guidance by asking thought provoking questions and inserting mini exercises in almost every chapter.

Most importantly the true life stories she weaves throughout the book inspire and remind us of our humanness, and how we can reshape our own destiny in life.

I’ll bet that many of you have seen author Mark Nepo on Oprah’s OWN “The Life You Want Weekend”. I recently had the pleasure to interview Mark about his new book entitled ” Seven Thousand Ways to Listen”.

Mark explores the many ways we are asked to listen, and how it helps us live. “Listening is the way we befriend the life we’re given. Our friendship with everything larger than us opens us to the wisdom of Source. This is the work of being.”

During my interview we explore the importance of listening to our intuition for it aligns and tunes us into the Universe in order to discover and rediscover the learnings we were born with. We also speak about some of the practices of Buddhism and how deep listening allows to hear the Source through immersion, absorption and presence.

I thoroughly this interview with Mark Nepo, and I am sure you will as well. His is as authentic as they come, and his message about life and living are so profound.

Hang on to your seats listeners, Vivienne Harr the Child Slavery Activists, Author, Philanthropists and Organic Product Creator is only 11 years old.

This new child’s book “Make A Stand” encourages kids to make a difference just like Vivienne did. “Anyone can do it” is her motto and believe me she is changing the awareness about child slavery.

Her story is truly phenomenal, from seeing a picture in an art gallery depicting two boys in child slavery carrying heavy slate stones on their backs, to raising over $100,000 to help end child slavery.

Her lemonade business has now turned into a full fledged operation called “Make A Stand” which bottles and ships lemonade to major grocery stores across the country. She was also approached by a movie producer and they made a movie about child slavery with Vivienne being highlighted in the movie. The title of the movie obviously is “Make A Stand

I hope you enjoy my interview with her father Eric Harr, Vivienne really has amazing parents, backing her all the way. If you want to learn more please click here to be directed to the Make A Stand website, or click here to go to their Facebook page.

Personal Growth can get overdone, and many of the books begin to sound the same. Similar advice, tips, to-do’s which unless applied do absolutely nothing to forward our personal transformation— whatever that is suppose to mean.

In my recent interview with Tom Oliver, about his book entitled ” Nothing is Impossible” Tom does not follow suit like the thousands of other “personal growth/mastery” books. Tom’s book is engaging, loaded with great stories, pointers and exercises that are quite valuable. Tom speaks to the reader, not at them and is gentle in his advice and guidance to attain personal mastery—should that be your desire.

Our interview covers several topics, but a couple of them I believe are so important are “Embracing Yourself” and “Overcoming Self-Doubt”. Please listen carefully to Tom words so you can understand the importance of learning how to understand yourself and focus on your strengths, not improving your weaknesses.

Also the power of removing any self-doubt that you may have allowed to creep into your subconscious. It can be a real challenge to lift yourself up, and start believing in yourself again. Defeat and failure, are just signs you are on the right path. Challenges will always be part of life, but remembering who we are and why we are here on this planet is the power to move us through all of our challenges.

I hope you enjoy this great interview with Tom Oliver about “Nothing is Impossible”. Please click here to be directed to Tom’s website.

I personally have not found a book that is impactful as “Everything Connects” in showing us as humans how we can shift our thinking of business as a means to better ourselves and the world around us.

In my recent interview with Faisal Hoque we discuss his new book, and the impact it is having on business leaders. Faisal and his co-author Drake Baer do an amazing job of weaving the human elements of connecting our souls calling to what we do in business and just how this has an impact on innovation, creativity and sustainability.

Drawing from organizational theory, neuroscience, management theory, psychology, spirituality and self improvement, Everything Connects illustrates how these different views of the world can be interconnected. “Making connections between disparate things is a key to creative thinking, so seeing these relationships is one of the keys to catalyzation,” says Hoque.

I hope you enjoy my interview with Faisal Hoque about his new book “Everything Connects”. If you want to learn more about the book click here to be connected to the book website. If you want to learn more about Faisal and his technology companies click here to be directed to his personal website.
