If you believe in a higher power, then prayer is very important to you. In my interview with author Sam Beasley we speak about his new co
Thomas Moore is an author that writes books with meaning and significance, and his new book entitled ” Ageless Soul-The Lifelong Journey Toward Meaning and Joy” is no exception. His ability to weave into words how we are feeling as souls journeying through this lifetime and more importantly our aging process is nothing short of a masterpiece.
Moore provides readers with a new way to think about aging. In contrast to the perception that aging means diminishment, Moore regards aging as the process by which we become more fully ourselves: a series of initiations, rather than losses. “Aging with soul is the process of becoming a full, rich, and interesting person. “Ageless Soul” is a deeply compassionate book on how to find new meaning, vigor, connection and growth in the process of aging.
No matter where you are on the age continuum I believe you will find deep reflective meaning in Thomas Moore’s new book. It will get you thinking about how to live the later years of your life with more significance and meaning. It is filled with stories not only from the author’s own experiences, but of others that are traveling the aging journey as well.
I trust you will enjoy this wonderful interview with Thomas Moore the author of “Ageless Soul“. If you want to find out more about Thomas and his new book please click here to be directed to his website. Enjoy listening!
I recently had the opportunity to interview author David Richo. This is his sophomore appearance here at, Inside Personal Growth. This time around David and I discussed his new (and may I say excellent!) book entitled, ” The Five Longings-What We’ve Always Wanted and Already Have.”
Have you ever had a vague sense that something’s missing from your life? It’s a feeling that I believe many of us can relate to. Embrace it. David explains the longing for something better is intuition, awareness of our discomforts and desires to grow are a sign of being fully alive. David states that it is when you carefully identify the things you long for–like love, meaning, freedom, happiness and growth–you not only discover deep truths about yourself, but also find the things you long for were never really “missing at all.”
In our interview this week, we explore the “five longings,” that are a prominent part of our human experience. As David says, “Life keeps showing us that what we want or cling to doesn’t last. This fact does not mean that what is impermanent is not necessary or of less value than what is permanent–a common bias. The fact that something will not last can mean that it is very precious indeed, precisely because it will be with us so briefly.”

Being true to yourself can be challenging. It takes belief in oneself, and a commitment to working on continually improving our perspective and eliminated the negative self talk.
In his new book “The Overwhelmed Brain” author Paul Colaianni guides the reader through a series of stories and exercises that are designed to to stop our self-sabotaging behaviors and replace them with self compassion. Paul states that “honoring others over yourself is like dishonoring yourself”. Compassion starts on the inside, and when you have enough of it for yourself, only then can you spread it out into the world for others.
“The Overwhelmed Brain” is about ways to look at yourself with the benefit of improving your relationships with others. Paul encourages us to not always think that the other person needs changing, usually it is our attitude and belief that need to be changed. Once we alter our beliefs, we can change our feeling and emotions about the other person. This is a formula for successful relationships. Always look at what you can change to improve your relationship with another person that is difficult to get along with.
I hope your enjoy my interview with author Paul Colaianni as we explore being true to yourself, building positive relationships while overcoming stress and anxiety. If you want to learn more about Paul you can visit his website by clicking here or his Facebook page by clicking here.
I have come full circle with author Glenn Aparicio Parry. Recently his publicists reached out to me about doing an interview with Glenn, what she did not know is that Glenn and I had previously been affiliated when Glenn was involved in as the director of the SEED Gratitude Institute in Albuquerque, NM. I just love how the Universe works in bringing people back into your life, just at the right time.
Glenn has written a new book entitled “Original Thinking-A Radical ReVisioning of Time, Humanity and Nature“. In my interview with Glenn we explore the deep inner realms of our thinking. How can we reconnect with all the natural ecological and spiritual ways to help restore our world to wholeness? In other words is our linear and rational thinking at the root cause of our current degradation of our society? If so how as a species can we reconnect with our “nature”.
As Glenn states “The origin of thinking is thanking. Original thinking is thinking that begins in wholeness, in gratitude for all there is. Thinking that begins in wholeness remains in wholeness, even if ti employs abstract thought for limited purposes. We are always in relationship with the whole.” If you want to further explore how our thinking is at the center of so much of the dilemma we face as a society, then you won’t want to miss a minute of my interview with Glenn Aparicio Parry the author of “Original Thinking”

Every year for the last six years I have been attending the Natural Products West Expo in Anaheim, CA. This event is a blast, loaded with new food products that are designed to be healthy and nutritious. My intention in going to this event as a press person is to find up and coming organizations and authors that have a great products and cause for being in business.
This year I felt that I hit the jackpot. I happen to come across the KIND Healthy Snacks. I know that almost anyone reading this blog entry has heard of KIND, but do you know the story behind the organization? I know that I didn’t, and recently had the honor of interviewing Daniel Lubetzky the founder about his new book ” Do the KIND Thing“.
Daniel has a fascinating personal story, but more importantly he has developed an organization, that is passionate about their purpose and committed to making this planet a better place to live. Daniel is not only socially responsible entrepreneur, but really a KIND person fostering acts of KINDNESS.
While building a large organization like KIND Healthy Snacks is not an easy feat, Daniel has done it with persistence and the ten (10) tenants which make up the foundation of the company. In my interview we discuss everything from this influence his father had on him who as a survivor from the concentration camps and the Holocaust, to his failures in business which gave him the grit and determination to keep going in times of adversity.
empathetic, understanding and compassionate toward others–a quality that is becoming harder and harder to find. “Do the KIND Thing” is more than a book about business, it is a book designed to get the reader to understand what it takes to mold your into one of service, and in so doing reap the rewards and share in the profits–all kinds of profits.

My good friend Guy Finely has released a wonderful book entitled ” The Secret to Your Immortal Self“. I recently had the opportunity to have a very deep conversation with Guy about the book, and the key lessons that he teaches throughout the book. One thing you alway know for certain is that when I interview Guy you are in for a very deep exploration about your spiritual beliefs which will test your intellect and get you to search for you soul.
What I appreciate about “The Secret to Your Immortal Self” is that each of the lessons are just a few pages, and they explore the timeless wisdom of the universe and how to apply and live it. As Guy states ” In one sense, the interior journey that leads to the immortal Self is demanding and difficult, even seemingly impossible at times; yet as paradoxical as it seems, there is nothing intrinsically hard about rising above ourselves and slipping into the stream of our own celestial possibilities.”
The Secret to Your Immortal Self is a book that will stimulate your thought while getting you to question some of your current beliefs. I encourage you to listen to this amazing interview with Guy Finley as we explore the depths of our immortal self.

What an honor to interview Rick Hanson the author of another great book entitled “Hardwiring Happiness“. My last interview with Rick was for his book “Just One Thing, Developing A Buddha Brain One Simple Practice at a Time”.
In our interview together we get to dialogue about how our brains are not really hardwired for happiness, and how to use various practices that will help us to rewire our brains for happiness. Rick explains the “three” layers of the brain which I think is fascinating and allows us to better understand the “why” behind our inability to just get happy. One of his practices Rick has developed, and he uses the acronym “HEAL” , which stand for Have, Enrich, Absorb and Link. This is a simple process developed to awaken us so we can reprogram our brains for happiness.
Another simple process he discusses in our inteview is just taking the time to notice our positive experiences. This might sound simple but when was the last time that we took a few minutes to just bask in the awe of one of our happy moments. As Rick states this helps us to reprogram the brains to better be wired to happiness. I can not guarantee that we will all become Dalai Lama’s after listening to my interview with Rick, but it will put you on the right track to greater levels of happiness.
I hope you enjoy this wonderful interview with a fascinating author and advocate for well being and happiness.
