Podcast 765: The Five Personality Patterns with Steven Kessler

Trying to understand our personal psychology is always challenging. As we reflect on what is going on in our lives and what we would like to change, we look for ways to better understand our emotions, beliefs and patterns.

In my recent interview with author and psychologist Steven Kessler we discuss his book entitled “The 5 Personality Patterns – Your Guide to Understanding Yourself and Others and Developing Emotional Maturity“, we explore how to understand our patterns.

What I appreciate about Stevens’s approach to understanding our patterns is that he has made his book simple and easy to use and understand. As Steven states “Your experiences of life is determined mostly by your habits of attention and patterned flow of your life energy.” In our interview together Steven expounds upon the five patterns of leaving, merging, enduring, aggressive and rigid. Each of these patterns have been influenced by our childhood and are survival patterns we have taken on to protect ourselves. If you want to learn how to recognize these patterns and modify them, you will want to listen to this podcast.

If you want to learn more about the patterns, please join Steven and myself for a great interview about “The 5 Personality Patterns.”

He also has an upcoming live online course that will start in February called Understanding Yourself and Others. If you would like to sign up for this course, click here. You can also go to Steven’s website for more information about the book and courses by clicking here.
