I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Jeffrey Shaw the author of a new book entitled “The Self-Employed Life: Business and Personal Development Strategies That Create Sustainable Success.” During our podcast interview, we discuss the characteristics that are required to become successful as a self-employed entrepreneur, and the grit and determination required to maintain your success.
Jeffrey introduces the reader to what he terms as “The Self-Employed Ecosystem” which is about creating the most effective environment for your success. In life and business the best you can do is to set up the perfect circumstances for what you want, then let it all happen. “It’s a blend between controlling and allow. Success is certainly not built entirely on manifestation and wishing upon a star, but neither is it built entirely on hard work and pushing” states Jeffrey.
“What motivates us most is the desire to become bolder versions of ourselves” that is, developing into the best version of ourselves is bigger than any fear, challenge, or obstacle that we might face. It is even more important than the rewards of the business. With all our desire to make money, earn a living, and impact the world, we are first drawn, whether we realize it or not, to our own personal development.
If you are curious about what you can become, I would suggest that you listen to the podcast with Jeffrey Shaw about his new book “The Self-Employed Life”. You can also learn more about Jeffrey and his other book “Lingo” by clicking here to be directed to his website.
