Podcast 841: Achieving Balance with Dr. Travis Parry

We all live in a world that is always on, with lots of demands on our time and energy.   It is very easy to lose focus, get distracted and lose sight of what is important in life.

So, just what is important to you?  Do you have things you would like to be doing but are allowing other obligations or demands on your time to get in the way.  Are you eating right, exercising, spending time with your family and friends?

Whatever the distractions might be that are keeping you from doing what is most important, then you might want to consider changing.

My guest on this podcast knows this firsthand how overworking living an unbalanced life can do to reduce the health and happiness in your life Dr. Travis Parry has just released a book entitled ” Achieving Balance, The Make Time Method to Help Advisors Reach Business and Personal Goals in an Overworked World.”

Dr. Parry has created the “Make Time Method” and outlines it in his book and our interview.  Travis states ” the Make Time Method” is not some repackaged productivity tool.  It is a proven system to reprioritize your life and goals in a balanced approach. We can’t do it all, and especially all at the same time.

If you want to have a happy, long life consider taking a minimum of 20% of your time and dedicating that to your health, family, and rest and relaxation goals.  Not only will you live longer, be healthier– but you will also have so much more time to be productive because you will not burn yourself out, or set yourself for health issues that could reduce your productivity–maybe reduce the amount of time you have to be productive because you drive yourself to an early death.

I encourage everyone to listen to the words of wisdom from Dr. Travis Parry about his new book “Achieving Balance” you will be happy you did, and your productivity will definitely increase.
