In a recent episode of Inside Personal Growth, host Greg Voisen sat down with spiritual author and teacher, Donna D'Ingillo, to discuss her insightful book, The Women Who Loved Jesus: The Untold Story of the Women’s Evangelistic Corps. This powerful work sheds light on the women who were deeply involved in Jesus' ministry, often overlooked in traditional narratives. Donna, a lifelong student of the Urantia Book, shares how her studies and meditation led her to uncover the stories of these women who played pivotal roles in healing and supporting early Christian communities. Through her Institute of Christ Consciousness, Donna aims to continue Jesus' message of love, inclusion, and spiritual growth.
Donna recounts her first vision of these women in 1999, which included a powerful image of twelve women, clothed in radiant, ancient attire, commissioned by Jesus to carry forth His message. This vision would shape her spiritual path and ultimately inspire her to write The Women Who Loved Jesus. Each of these women had a unique role, embodying the compassion and empathy that complemented the teaching of Jesus’ male apostles. As Donna explains, Jesus’ acceptance of women as ministers was revolutionary. He provided them with a sense of divine dignity, which was radical in a society where women held secondary status. This message of equality and compassion resonates even today.
