I recently had a wonderful interview with Whitney Freya the author of “The Artist Within“. Whitney is a creative muse and coach for a growing number of clients around the world. Her new book “The Artist Within” is a guidebook for helping our inner artist to become more expressive. Whitney likes to refer to this process as “making us creatively fit” and finding our “super soul flow”.
She outlines the eight principles of design, and these principles are the language of our mind’s eye–how we visually analyze everything we see. As we discuss in our interview we explore these principles which are emphasis, balance, proportion, unity, harmony, contrast, rhythm and repetition.
If you have not drawn anything or painted or used any form of media to express yourself you might want to check out Whitney’s new book and learn what it possible to become more artistically expressive and not be afraid doing it. You will definitely have fun and your creative energy can be expressed in many different ways.
