I was introduced to Dr. Stephen Bizal thorough a good friend and fellow author Jon Forrest. I had the pleasure of going up to Irvine, CA to meet with Dr. Bizal, America’s Wellness “Go-To” Guy a few months back. Dr. Bizal has spent most of his entire life helping people transform their lives through looking at their lives in a more holistic way. His new book entitled ” The Optimal Life” really does a masterful job of explaining the mind-body-spirit-emotional connection to health.
As Dr. Bizal explains in our interview together, your optimal life is not a mystery. Living a pain-free, disease-free and medication-free life is possible. Most roadblocks to achieving optional health and healing are due to (1) lack of motivation (2) lack of understanding (3) lack of motivation and lack of understanding.
In Dr. Bizal’s book “The Optimal Life” what is revealed to you is that (1) the body heals itself (2) there are non physical as well at physical forces that influence our health and govern the healing process (3) humans are wholistic (4) we are each 100% responsible and accountable for our experience of life, including our experience of health.
Dr. Bizal utilizes a wonderful Wholistic Health Model to explain how dis-ease emanates. It is probably the best explanation that I have heard in all my years of reviewing material on wellness, health and nutrition. He explains that at the center of everything is the heart, or the energy of love. Then on the second ring emanating out from our heart center is our emotional state. On the third ring emanating out from our heart center is our mind, which is where we hold our beliefs about our self. Then completing the model on the most outward ring is our body, which is the air, H2O, Light, nutrition, physical activity. This wholistic model really sums it up for me, and that is our health is a direct connection to our spirit, love and how we treat ourselves and others in our life. Our spiritual practices is so important to a healthy life, and living with vitality.
Dr. Bizal has a great quote in his book from Ramacharaka, from the book Yesudian and Haich, Yoga and Health. It states ” Nature never wanted man to leave his body before advance old age, and if only everyone would obey the laws of nature form his childhood on, instead of constantly working against them, the death of human beings through disease in their youth or middle age would be as rare as death by violence.”
If you would like to learn about the universal principles that govern health, then I highly recommend that you read and study Dr. Bizal’s book. You can also learn more about his wellness coaching and training by clicking here to access his website.
