I have been a personal friend with Lou Cassara for over six years. We met at a Spirit in Business conference in Santa Fe, NM. Lou was attending the conference to better understand the concepts behind the triple bottom line for business. If you are not aware of the triple bottom line, it is people, planet and profits.
Lou has always been a trendsetter when it came to working with his financial services clients. He is part of a very prestigious group of men and women who make up the top one half of one percent in the insurance industry.
His book, “From Selling to Serving“, is about the process that Lou has developed to help him stay in the top of his industry, and he explains the very important aspects of how to better understand and work with clients/customers in any business. His “Client Creator Process” has been taught to thousands of sales and marketing people throughout the financial services and has helped so many sales people understand the simplicity of attracting and retaining customers.
Lou has found out that how you communicate with your clients accounts for 85% of the relationship. Yet most sales professionals spend only 15% of their time developing these vital skills and abilities. People buy from people. Relationships, not products are the key. Changing the way you think about these relationships, and moving from a selling to serving mindset creates unlimited opportunity.
I hope you enjoy this interview with a true master in his profession, and someone who will teach you how to attract, connect and commit by aligning intention with actions.

Are you interested in learning how to energize growth in your business?
If this interests you then you are going to love my interview with author and business consultant Lisa Nirell.
Her new book entitled, “Energize Growth Now”, is all about how you can make a shift in your business growth by working smarter and not harder. I know that for most entrepreneurs the hours dedicated to launching a new business are endless, and then when you get momentum, often the zest you had for the business is lost because you are not using as much of your creative energies. Your business becomes more process and procedure without creative energy.
Lisa says that it takes clear vision and enduring principles to succeed over the long term. Her new book “Energize Growth Now” shows you how to:
- Avoid the pitfalls of running a growth company.
- Tackle the common misconceptions that distract from your goals and sabotage good ideas.
- Create a vision of your business’s future that keeps everyone focused and energized.
- Develop a strategic growth plan that actually works
- Adopt quickly to changes in your market and your business.
- Link your brand to your growth plan to maximize market traction.
- Launch online communities and social networks that foster long-term relationships and develop true customer evangelists.
In her book, Lisa addresses how beliefs can pose one of the biggest threats to our business growth. You see our brains process the incoming data and decide if it is important or not to our success. As a result of our filters we form our own reality, and as a result of our realities we begin to believe or not believe what may play an important role in our personal and business success.
If you are interested in moving your business to a whole new level of creativity, innovation and growth, then I highly recommend that you listen to my interview with author Lisa Nirell. Her book, ” Energize Growth Now“, is a wonderful read, and she is an inspiring consultant and coach.

I thoroughly enjoyed my interview with Dilip Abayasekara. His new book entitled, “The Path of the Genie“, is a wonderful book about the lessons learned by Aladdin. In my interview with Dilip we explore these lessons and how they can apply to our lives to bring us more happiness, meaning and purpose. Based on the truths derived from the story of Aladdin, “The Path of the Genie“, extracts powerful examples for living from pivotal points in Aladdin’s story. Highlights such as rubbing the lamp, getting the Genie’s help, winning the love of the princess, and the sacrificing his own desires in order to grant freedom to the Genie are almost magically changed into lessons for life: getting rid of negative forces and discovering the transforming powers of humanity, self discovery, and self-offering.
As Dilip articulates so well through this book, you are not an accident of nature. There is a purpose and meaning behind your life. The hard part is finding that purpose and meaning. The path to finding your purpose and living out your destiny is what “The Path of the Genie” is all about. So, just what is your heart’s desire? How can you achieve this desire, and why is it so important to you?
If you are asking yourself these kind of questions and would like to explore the answers that dwell within you, then I highly recommend reading this entertaining and enjoyable book that provides you with the lesson and guidance to find your purpose in life. My interview with Dilip is wonderful and will be a real stepping stone for those seeking to answer these life long questions about their purpose in life.

My good friend David Corbin has just released his new book entitled, “Illuminate: Harnessing the Positive Power of Negative Thinking”. Isn’t that a great title for a book? Not only is it a great title, the concepts presented here are wonderful.
How many of you when you have been challenged or confronted with a negative situation take the time to learn from it? Many times we divert our energy and move in the opposite direction of the challenge hoping that it will go away.
In David’s new book he dispels the myths about constantly remaining positive to find solution. This is very contradictory to the traditional Positive Mental Attitude approach. David believes that if you illuminate the negative and question authority, become proactive and think outside the box that it will help you find solutions to your challenges. He states that we need to develop critical thinking skills and be unafraid to face the truth.
David’s book is filled with examples and experiences of countless individuals who have discovered that negative thinking can bring about unparalleled positive results in anyone’s work and life. So if you want to make breakthroughs in your life look at what is not working and learn from your mistakes. I love the analogy in this book about Thomas Edison. If you remember Edison took 300 tries to develop the light bulb. He was reminded about how many times he failed. And his answer was, “I now know over 300 ways not to make a light bulb.” What a great analogy for life, just keep trying even if you are failing at something and at some point you are going to have a breakthrough.
I am sure glad that Edison illuminated the negative, because if he had not we would all probably still be in the dark.If you want to know more about my good friend and author David Corbin you can visit his website by clicking here. He is really a wonderful man with a big heart and lots to teach us about harnessing the positive power of negative thinking.
I found my interview with Srikumar Rao to be fascinating. Here is a man that has been teaching a course on Creativity and Personal Mastery at the University level. Year after year his courses are filled with students that provide accolades for the professor and the material taught in his courses.
In the introduction of his book Dr. Rao asks you to wake up from your dreamworld and make a better life for yourself. His book and his course shows you how to take the action and create a life filled with success, happiness and fulfillment.
Dr. Rao states that the first block to personal mastery–and one of the biggest–is our unquestioned mental models. He states that these are our fixed ideas of how the world works and how things should or shouldn’t be done. We accept these models so completely that we live our lives according to them. From these fixed ideas we construct our own realities. And some of us must admit that the realities we create are not so wonderful.
So just how does all of this happen? It happens through our mental chatter. You created your world unconsciously. Your world was created by your constant companion. So who is this constant companion? It is the mental chatter that you are in dialogue with on a daily basis. It is your voice of judgment that is telling you what is right, and what is wrong. One of the secrets to a successful life is to be aware of this mental chatter, and to look for the patterns in our mind chatter. Journal and attempt to replace the mental chatter with positive reinforcing messages.
Are You Ready to Succeed? is filled with wonderful exercises to help the reader overcome many of the challenges that one faces in becoming a true success. The ideas and concepts are borrowed from the ageless wisdom, but we all need to be reminded of the ways to over come the mental challenges that get in our way of success.
I highly recommend this book, and Dr. Rao’s course. If you would like to learn more about the course and to download the syllabus please click here to be directed to Dr. Rao’s website. I know you are going to love this interview with a true master of in the art of creativity and personal mastery.
I recently attended the Book Expo America in New York and had the pleasure of meeting the executive director of the Napoleon Hill Foundation, Don Green. Don is currently in charge of any new publication that the foundation publishes as well as overseeing all of the historical works of Napoleon Hill.
The association recently published a new book entitled “Napoleon Hill’s Golden Rules-The Lost Writings.” In my interview with Don we explore the timeless writings of Napoleon Hill and the wondrous wisdom exemplified in the message. What is so wonderful about this new book is that the message is so simple, yet so profound. Even after all these years Napoleon Hill’s writing are a valuable part of the fabric of our positive thinking and human potential movement. The stories depicted in this new book are a great way for people to remember these simple principles of living an enriched and rewarding life. I like to say they are probably not anything you don’t already know, but we need frequent reminders of these principles to keep us on track.
I highly recommend this new book, and my interview with Don was a real pleasure. I hope you enjoy listening and I encourage you to visit the Napoleon Hill’s Foundation website for more information on books, CD’s and other valuable supportive material published by the foundation.

I have known Paul Lemberg for many years. He is definitely an out-of-the-box thinker. His concepts about how to market yourself and your business have always been cutting edge. In my interview with Paul he will explain what he refers to as “Being Unreasonable.”
In Paul’s book Be Unreasonable – The Unconventional Way to Extraordinary Business Results, he states that it is about a liberation that comes from shaking off the shackles of normality and being Unreasonable in your demands on yourself and your work. He says that extraordinary accomplishments begin with extraordinary actions. Extraordinary in itself mean “extra” ordinary as in above the ordinary. Being unreasonable means achieving the extraordinary by doing things beyond what people consider normal.
We have the opportunity in our interview together to discuss some of the 20 key points he makes about people who practice extraordinary action,
and the benefits they gain both personally and professionally. In these unusual times Paul’s approach just might make sense for many of you seeking to improve your bottom line while at the same time grow your business. He is a true master of marketing and sales and has some wonderful ideas. I hope you enjoy our interview together, and I encourage you to visit his website by clicking here for more information about his teleclasses, books and coaching programs.
In my interview with Dr. Warren Farrell, we explore the “The Myth of Male Power“. This podcast with Dr. Farrell was quite fascinating and provided me insight into an area that I had little knowledge or understanding of. His perspective really opened my eyes about the socialization of both the sexes. Dr. Farrell dialogs with me about the expectations of males in society and the roles we play in order to be successful with the opposite sex. He also provides a fascinating perspective on why he believes that neither sex has power over the other and that our power is only in our ability to control our own life.
Dr. Farrell tells a very interesting story about a woman who was attending one of his lectures and got up to tell her story about her brother who was the focus of her fathers attention and admiration. Her father who was a prominent physician so wanted her brother to become a physician just like him. The father paid more attention to her brother who had originally stated that he wanted to become a physician. Then one day he announced that he no longer had a desire to become a physician and the father was devastated. Jokingly, and to win her fathers approval and admiration she told her father that she would become a physician, but deep down inside she was really only doing it so that she could win her father’s approval. Interestingly enough, she followed through with her degree and become a physician. She now states that she is in her 40’s and is not happy with this chosen profession, and would like to change vocations.
Dr. Farrell was attempting to emphasize through this story that statistically men are usually the ones who take on the jobs out of a sense of obligation or family pressures. Without sounding sexist the statistics prove this fact and this story illustrates “The Myth of Male Power” and provides interesting insights into how our viewpoint and perspective about male power in society is probably distorted.
I hope that you will enjoy this podcast with Dr. Farrell and if you are interested in learning more about his research, workshops, lectures and CD’s, please click here for more information.
