Podcast 303: Get Off Your Attitude with Ryan Lowe

Ryan LoweI always remember the saying from Zig Zigler, ” it is not you aptitude that determine your altitude–its your attitude”  If  you want to learn more about the importance of your attitude, then this interview with author Ryan Lowe about his new book entitled ” Get Off Your Attitude–Change Your Attitude, Change Your Life” will provide you with the insight you need.

Ryan revels to me his personal story of being down and destitute, and it was at the depths his dispare that Ryan heard the words ” Get Off Your Attitude“.

Ryan states that many of us have heard speakers say, ” Attitude is everything” , but they are wrong.  Dead wrong according to Ryan.  You can have the right attitude or a positive attitude, but if you are incompetent, you will lose in any area of life.  The truth that while attitude is not everything it is the most important thing in your life. Your attitude will not only affect who you are today, but it also directs your future.

Ryan shares throughout the book what he refers to at GOYA-isms.  They are principles to live by.  For instance—” If you control your thoughts and control your choices, you’ll create a brighter future”. We talked about the importance of the life choices we make and  how they can affect our lives for years to come.  The same is true for our beliefs–the beliefs that we carry around help to shape our world,  they even keep us stuck in situations that we certainly have the power and fortitude to get out of.   When you work at having a positive attitude you don’t have any excuses—shift your attitude and your whole world will look better, brighter and amazing synchronicity will occur in your life.

Ryan states that we have the choice to listen to two radio stations–one’s negative and one’s positive.  If you don’t like what you’re hearing on WNEG, switch to the positive station WPOS.  You can change your life just as easily as you change the station on the radio.  We think about 60,000 thoughts a day and 8 out of 10 of the average persons thoughts are negative.  That’s 80%, that means that we have about 48,000 negative thoughts per day.  No matter what ratio of negative to positive thoughts the fact is that if you keep tuned into WNEG your life is going to be miserable and no one will want to be around you.

I highly recommend reading Ryan new book ” Get Off Your Attitude” if you want some simple, easy steps you can take to shift your attitude and live the life you deserve.  If you would like to watch Ryan in action his website is loaded with videos.  You can access his website by clicking here.  I hope you enjoy this interview with author Ryan Lowe.
