“The Won Thing“, is an interesting title for a book, and Peggy Mc Coll is certainly well qualified to write a book about “The Won Thing“. So just what is this all about? It truly is about her personal journey to find fulfillment, happiness and peace within.
Like many people, she was constantly looking outside of herself for happiness. As as you can expect, happiness, fulfillment and joy were ever elusive until she found the secret that these things are not an outside job, they are attained from someone who is happy within for what and who they are.
Nothing is going to satisfy you if you are looking beyond yourself. No amount of money, fast cars, sex, clothes, big houses and the material possessions of life. In other words there is no one thing, it is your ability to not be attached to any of the material and go within for your true peace.
As Peggy writes, happiness begins within. She suggest regular updating of your affirmations and to express gratitude for your circumstances. When you create the internal condition for happiness within yourself, you shift into a positive emotional state, and the universe responds by matching your external circumstances. It doesn’t always seem this way , but that’s because you’re probably not always aware of how much inner turmoil you have. If in your subconscious mind you feel sadness, the universe will attract situations to you that reflect sorrow.
The Won Thing is your personal recipe for joy, satisfaction and a sense of purpose, and it combines the following elements:
- Taking responsibility for your own life.
- Managing your thoughts and emotions
- Setting and achieving your goals
- Giving to others unconditionally out of a sense of personal passion.
- Feeling grateful
- Attending to the small stuff and taking pride in your work.
- Being happy.
Come join with me as I explore with Peggy Mc Coll her life, and the important lessons she learned along the way about “The Won Thing“. If you would like to learn more about Peggy and her books and workshops please click here for more information.
I recently had the good fortune of being introduced to Ken Foster the author of, “Ask and You will Succeed.” His book is certainly a wonderful approach to going deep within and asking some very important questions about your purpose, values and mission in life. Each one of the eight sections of the book are packed full of very important questions that you need to ask yourself to look at your life from the inside out. What are you limiting beliefs? How might you shift your thinking to overcome those beliefs?
Ken also addresses the all important spiritual aspects of your life, and as a matter of fact, as you listen to this podcast carefully listen for the importance he places on a spiritual balance, and tapping into your intuition. I believe that his book is a wonderful tool that can be utilized to guide you into going deeper than you may have ever gone before in determining what is truly important to you and through these insights determine how you can be of service to our planet.
By utilizing the questions in the book, you’ll uncover the true nature of your own mind. If you ask the right questions and do the work, you’ll find that prosperous thinking will flow into every aspect of your life effortlessly, relieving you of the stressful, negative thoughts that block your creativity and halt your drive for success. I thoroughly enjoyed my interview with Dilip Abayasekara. His new book entitled, “The Path of the Genie“, is a wonderful book about the lessons learned by Aladdin. In my interview with Dilip we explore these lessons and how they can apply to our lives to bring us more happiness, meaning and purpose. Based on the truths derived from the story of Aladdin, “The Path of the Genie“, extracts powerful examples for living from pivotal points in Aladdin’s story. Highlights such as rubbing the lamp, getting the Genie’s help, winning the love of the princess, and the sacrificing his own desires in order to grant freedom to the Genie are almost magically changed into lessons for life: getting rid of negative forces and discovering the transforming powers of humanity, self discovery, and self-offering.
As Dilip articulates so well through this book, you are not an accident of nature. There is a purpose and meaning behind your life. The hard part is finding that purpose and meaning. The path to finding your purpose and living out your destiny is what “The Path of the Genie” is all about. So, just what is your heart’s desire? How can you achieve this desire, and why is it so important to you?
If you are asking yourself these kind of questions and would like to explore the answers that dwell within you, then I highly recommend reading this entertaining and enjoyable book that provides you with the lesson and guidance to find your purpose in life. My interview with Dilip is wonderful and will be a real stepping stone for those seeking to answer these life long questions about their purpose in life.

My good friend David Corbin has just released his new book entitled, “Illuminate: Harnessing the Positive Power of Negative Thinking”. Isn’t that a great title for a book? Not only is it a great title, the concepts presented here are wonderful.
How many of you when you have been challenged or confronted with a negative situation take the time to learn from it? Many times we divert our energy and move in the opposite direction of the challenge hoping that it will go away.
In David’s new book he dispels the myths about constantly remaining positive to find solution. This is very contradictory to the traditional Positive Mental Attitude approach. David believes that if you illuminate the negative and question authority, become proactive and think outside the box that it will help you find solutions to your challenges. He states that we need to develop critical thinking skills and be unafraid to face the truth.
David’s book is filled with examples and experiences of countless individuals who have discovered that negative thinking can bring about unparalleled positive results in anyone’s work and life. So if you want to make breakthroughs in your life look at what is not working and learn from your mistakes. I love the analogy in this book about Thomas Edison. If you remember Edison took 300 tries to develop the light bulb. He was reminded about how many times he failed. And his answer was, “I now know over 300 ways not to make a light bulb.” What a great analogy for life, just keep trying even if you are failing at something and at some point you are going to have a breakthrough.
I am sure glad that Edison illuminated the negative, because if he had not we would all probably still be in the dark.If you want to know more about my good friend and author David Corbin you can visit his website by clicking here. He is really a wonderful man with a big heart and lots to teach us about harnessing the positive power of negative thinking.

Is money really the root of all evil? In my interview with Jeffrey Gitterman we explore the fascinating relationship and role that money plays in our lives. Gitterman, a successful financial advisor and rags to riches story, has done an amazing job with his new book entitled, “Beyond Success”, in helping the reader to understand the true meaning of money. Gitterman shares his liberating and dynamic approach to lasting spiritual, creative and financial fulfillment. He draws on his own experiences and stories of many people he has worked with and learned from. The key to success, he says, is an ongoing commitment to doing, giving and accomplishing. Gitterman states, “When we really understand that there is nothing we can get that will make us happy, we can stop striving to accumulate more and more”. He says that we need to redirect our ‘seeking system,’ enlist it in the service of what we want to express to the world, rather than how we want to feel
Challenging the value of both conventional and material standards and fleeting emotional states, “Beyond Success” presents a new currency for measuring success: attention. As Jeff makes clear, the intangible force of attention is the key to economic, commercial, political and social and personal power. Why is attention so powerful? “Because,” as Jeff sums it up, “what you choose to put your attention on is where you direct your energy — in all its many forms, including your time, your creativity, and of course your money”.
Jeffrey Gitterman is one of the most interesting authors I have interviewed regarding our relationship to money, and how with some minor shifts in our conscious thought and spiritual understanding of how to utilize money for good we can grow our abundance in all areas of our lives.
I hope you enjoy this interview Jeff, and if you would like to learn more about his Beyond Success workshops and other coaching services please visit his website.

I recently attended the Book Expo America in New York and had the pleasure of meeting the executive director of the Napoleon Hill Foundation, Don Green. Don is currently in charge of any new publication that the foundation publishes as well as overseeing all of the historical works of Napoleon Hill.
The association recently published a new book entitled “Napoleon Hill’s Golden Rules-The Lost Writings.” In my interview with Don we explore the timeless writings of Napoleon Hill and the wondrous wisdom exemplified in the message. What is so wonderful about this new book is that the message is so simple, yet so profound. Even after all these years Napoleon Hill’s writing are a valuable part of the fabric of our positive thinking and human potential movement. The stories depicted in this new book are a great way for people to remember these simple principles of living an enriched and rewarding life. I like to say they are probably not anything you don’t already know, but we need frequent reminders of these principles to keep us on track.
I highly recommend this new book, and my interview with Don was a real pleasure. I hope you enjoy listening and I encourage you to visit the Napoleon Hill’s Foundation website for more information on books, CD’s and other valuable supportive material published by the foundation.

What a wonderful interview with Ariane de Bonvoisin about her new book “The First 30 Days.” She and I explore the world of change and how we as human beings cope with the change in our lives. One thing we all know for certain is that change is ever-constant. Things can change for the better or they can change for the worse. But it is not that things will change, but how we learn to deal with the change in our lives that matters.
Ariane spent an extensive amount of time interviewing world leaders, athletes and average people to learn the characteristics of people who deal with change successfully. In these uncertain times what we all know that things have changed for all of us. Ariane helps us find our change muscle and to tap into our changeless core.
She has learned that there are nine (9) principles that will assist us in learning to cope with change. We explore the (9) nine principles of change in our interview together. I know you will be fascinated by her discoveries after having interviewed over 1,000 people and discovering their commonalities no matter what the change.
Ariane mentioned that people have been conditioned to believe certain things about change. (1) Change is hard and something to be avoided (2) Change makes me feel alone; I am the only one going through this. (3) Change takes time, energy and work. (4) Change is stressful and involves a lot of pain. In “The First 30 Days” you will learn that this might be so, but it is possible to feel differently about change by developing a new mindset about it, even if you are facing an extremely challenging change. You can come out on the other side feeling hopeful, strong, and calm with renewed optimism about life.
I know you are going to love this interview with Ariane as we explore change and how to navigate it. Remember the old saying what we resist persists, and this is certainly so about change. If you would like to learn more about Ariane de Bonvoisin and her book, coaching and workshops please visit her website for more information. Enjoy the interview!!!
